Italian energy services company Saipem has secured a $260 million offshore drilling contract from Eni Cote d'Ivoire Limited for a long-term development drilling campaign off Cote d'Ivoire, the company said on Wednesday.
Under the contract, Saipem's drillship Santorini will carry out a development drilling campaign offshore Cote d'Ivoire, with operations expected to begin in early 2027.
The agreement includes a firm commitment for an extended drilling program and provides options for additional work, including the possible deployment of the vessel in neighboring countries, supporting the drillship's long-term utilization.
Saipem said the contract reinforces its competitive position in the offshore drilling market and highlights its ability to deploy high-specification assets to support clients' exploration, appraisal and development activities.
