NEW YORK
A mixed close on Wall Street on Wednesday followed a gain by tech stocks but a flat Dow.
The Dow ended trading with a loss to finish the day flat at 21,478.
The S&P increased three points to 2,432, while the Nasdaq benefitted from a tech rally to add 40 points to close at 6,150.
Amazon rose 1.8 percent, while Google's parent company, Alphabet, increased 1.4 percent.
