Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends week with losses
Benchmark index loses 41.81 points at Friday's closing session
ISTANBUL
Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Friday at 11,294.37 points, down 0.37% from its previous close.
After starting the day at 11.340,42 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 41.81 points from Thursday's close.
The lowest value of the index was 11,228.55, while the daily high was 11,352.23.
The market value of the BIST 100 was around 10.66 trillion Turkish liras ($249.3 billion), with a trading volume of 112.3 billion liras ($2.61 billion).
A total of 41 stocks on the index rose and 55 dropped, compared to the previous close.
Gold was $4,529.35 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $61.10 per barrel as of 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 42.9205, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 50.6625, and the British pound traded for 58.0865 liras.
