Türkiye's BIST 100 down at weekly close
Borsa Istanbul drops over 67 points
ISTANBUL
Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended the shortened week at 13,047.72 points on Thursday, down 0.51% day-by-day.
After starting the day at 13,035.36 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 67.41 points from Wednesday's close.
The stock exchange traded for half a day on Thursday due to the eve of the Eid al-Fitr holiday, and will be closed on Friday.
The lowest value of the index was 12,980.98, while the daily high was 13,109.70.
The market value of the BIST 100 was around 12.73 trillion Turkish liras ($288.4 billion), with a trading volume of 65 billion liras ($1.48 billion).
A total of 46 stocks on the index rose and 50 dropped, compared to the previous close.
Gold was $4,681.80 per ounce, while Brent crude futures traded for $109.2 per barrel as of 1.30 pm local time (1030GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 44.3210, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 50.8240, and the British pound traded for 58.8290 liras.
