Firms established down 4.7% year-on-year in September, while it surges 6% compared to August

ISTANBUL

Türkiye saw more than 9,750 newly launched companies in September.

The figure of 9,759 was down 4.7% on a yearly basis, from 10,243 in the same month last year, Türkiye's Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) said on Friday.

Meanwhile, the number of liquidated companies in September totaled 3,090, down 1.4% year-on-year.

On a monthly basis, the number of newly established companies in Türkiye surged 6% in September from August's 9,210.

In the same period, the number of liquidated companies climbed 14% from August's 2,710.

In the January-September period of 2025, the number of newly established firms amounted to 80,983, down 1.1% compared to the same period of 2024.

The number of liquidated companies reached 22,367 in the first nine months of the year, up 6.1% on an annual basis.

In September, 833 companies with foreign partners were established, including 625 with Turkish partners, 28 with Irani partners, and 17 with partners from China.
