Turkish stock exchange opens Thursday on high note
Benchmark BIST 100 index gains 99.05 points at opening bell

ISTANBUL
Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 10,266.31 points, up 0.97% or 99.05 points from the previous close.
On Wednesday, the BIST 100 rose 1.69% to 10,167.26 points, with a daily transaction volume of 104.9 billion Turkish liras ($2.62 billion).
As of 09.50 am local time (0650GMT), exchange rates stood at 40.0560 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 47.1205 to the euro, and 54.6765 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $3,324.40, while Brent crude oil was trading at $69.75 per barrel.
