Turkey will distinguish itself in the post-pandemic era with economic measures and increase in trade volume, the country's trade minister said Wednesday.
Addressing EU members' business council heads in a virtual meeting organized in coordination with the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey, Ruhsar Pekcan said the country will make great strides in the areas of economy and trade, as it has done in healthcare during the coronavirus outbreak.
Due to COVID-19 containment measures and shrinkage in markets, she said, Turkey's exports decreased in March and April after registering an increase in the first two months of 2020.
However, "hopefully, we will enter an acceleration period robustly," Pekcan said.
She underlined that the country should rise to the forefront, given its superiority in product quality and reliability.
