Trade sales in Türkiye see increase of 12.7% in September
Retail trade volume up 15.9% in September in Türkiye
ISTANBUL
Türkiye's trade sales increased by 12.7% on a yearly basis in September, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) revealed on Tuesday.
In the same month wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles volume increased by 3.3%, wholesale trade sales volume increased by 13%, retail trade sales volume increased by 15.9%, the institute explained.
Under retail trade, food-drink-tobacco item posted an increase of 10.3%, while non-food item saw a 22.1% of raise.
On a monthly basis, trade sales rose by 3.2% in the country.
Turnover
Total turnover increased by 47% on annual basis in the country in September.
Industry increased by 33.2%, construction increased by 76.4%, trade increased by 49% and services increased by 55.4% on annual basis in September 2024.
