
FRANKFURT
Turkish national air carrier, Turkish Airlines (THY) opened a new cargo center at Frankfurt Airport in Germany.
An inauguration was held at the airport on Thursday with participation of Turkish Cargo President Ali Turk, THY's Central and South Europe Cargo Regional Director Mehmet Kizilkaya and other officials.
The new cargo center will control all cargo transportation to Germany, France, Britain, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland and Denmark.
Kizilkaya said that Cargo City built on an area of 15,000 square meters in Frankfurt will serve with high-tech security system.
THY is the national flag carrier airline of Turkey, headquartered in Istanbul. It operates scheduled services to 150 international and 41 domestic cities (38 domestic airports), serving a total of 187 airports, in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
