European stock markets close lower in major selloff
Spain's IBEX 35 worst performer of day, diving 0.82%
ANKARA
All major indices in Europe closed lower Thursday in a major selloff.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, fell 0.36 points, or 0.08%, to close at 469.71.
London's FTSE 100 was down 32 points, or 0.45%, to 7,190, while Germany's DAX 30 lost 50 points, or 0.32%, to 15,472.
France's CAC 40 dropped 19 points, or 0.29%, to 6,686. Italy's FTSE MIB 30 fell 56 points, or 0.21%, to 26,525.
Spain's IBEX 35 was the worst performer of the day, diving 73, or 0.82%, to close at 8,944.
