LONDON
European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is opening an office in Ankara this week.
London, UK based EBRD made a statement and said, "Bank will be opening a resident office in Ankara in order to support and step up its presence."
EBRD has been active in Turkey for three years and made investments worth more than 1.5 billion Euro in energy, transportation, infrastructure, financial sector, agriculture management.
EBRD has an office in Istanbul already and by opening a new one in Ankara, they are aiming to increase the support which they pass it to the managements in the developing areas of Turkey as well as deepening the cooperations with the Turkish authorities.
Press conference about the new office will be held in Ankara on Wednesday with the attendance of Director of EBRD Turkey Michael Davey and Director of Small Business Support at EBRD Charlotte Ruhe.
London based EBRD was established in 1991 and provides financing to banks, industries and businesses and supports countries to improve their market economies.
