ISTANBUL
Turkey's Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan on Friday said that the direct international investments in Turkey went up 25 percent in January and February, 2012 when compared to the same term last year and was recorded as 1.7 billion USD.
Speaking to reporters in Istanbul, Caglayan stressed that international investors continued to have interest in the Turkish economy and market in 2012.
The sustainability in investments, economic development and growth are our policy. In order to increase international investments, it is crucial to establish an economic atmosphere full of competition, Caglayan also said.
