Dutch chip giant ASML reported Wednesday record orders and better-than-expected sales in the last quarter of 2025 as the demand for AI keeps boosting the firm's operations.

One of the most highly monitored variables by investors, bookings, exceeded analyst forecasts in the fourth quarter of 2025, coming in at €13.2 billion ($15.8 billion).

The net sales of the firm amounted to €9.7 billion ($11.6 billion) in the October-December period, above market expectations, while the net profit totaled €2.84 billion.

Additionally, ASML announced a proposal to buy back €12 billion in shares by December 31, 2028.

The company stated that it anticipates net sales of between €8.2 billion and €8.9 billion for the current quarter and between €34 billion and €39 billion for overall sales in 2026.

ASML previously stated that it does not anticipate total net sales in 2026 to fall short of 2025. In contrast to its earlier statement on 2026, when a gain in sales seemed questionable, the company's prediction indicates revenue growth of at least 20% compared to 2024.

Additionally, ASML said on Wednesday that it will be laying off employees, resulting in a net decrease of about 1,700 employment, primarily in the Netherlands and some in the US. The corporation stated that the job layoffs are meant to address the "less agile" nature of the company's working methods in certain instances.
