Award-winning short films made by Turkish students will be shown in the Beverly Garland Theater in north Hollywood on November 8-9.

Turkish students' award-winning films to be shown in Hollywood

ADANA, Turkey

Short award-winning Turkish student films are to be viewed in Hollywood, according to a statement made by Adana Metropolitan Municipality.

The student films, which won awards during the 21st Golden Boll Film Festival held in Turkey, are to be shown in the Beverly Garland Theater in north Hollywood on November 8-9. 

The festival in Turkey's southern district of Adana, includes the National Student Film competition and the Mediterranean Short Film competition, as well as the National Feature Film competition.

The film festival has evolved over the years into one of the leading arts and cultural events in Turkey.

The films are as follows:

- Best fiction film: Tatmin/Fulfillment (Mahmut Telci - Marmara University Faculty of Communications)

- Best documentary: Benden Once/Before Me (Mehmet Emre Gul – Selcuk University)

- Best experimental film: O2 (Oksijen)/ O2 (Oxygen) (Naci Anil Konya – Selcuk University)

- Best animated film: Salkim Sogut/Weeping Willow (Ethem Onur Bilgic – Mimar Sinan University)

- Special Jury Prize: Heykel A.S./Sculpt Inc. (Tuna Tetik – Bahcesehir University)
