ISTANBUL
The Turkish movie Ayla: The Daughter of War won two awards Tuesday at the 24th Sedona International Film Festival held in the U.S. as the website announced the 2018 festival award-winners on Tuesday.
Ayla: The Daughter of War claimed the Best Foreign Film and Best of Fest awards, accorfing to the festival's website .
The movie, which is based on a true story, tells the story of a Turkish sergeant and a five-year-old orphan girl that he found during the Korean War in 1950.
The war drama was released on Oct. 27, 2017 in Turkey.
