The 6th International Changing Perspectives Short Film Festival will be held between April 10 and 15 in Istanbul -- Turkey’s hub for culture and art, according to the festival’s official website.

The festival has been initiated by Katadrom Arts and Culture and Social Politics Association based in Istanbul and will be supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

The “take-away” festival is expected to continue its yearly tour across other cities around the world after its start in Istanbul.

Yogyakarta, Berlin, New York and Vancouver are among the stops of the festival.

Characterized for being innovative and groundbreaking, the “take-away” film festival consists of films screenings, panel discussions, photography exhibitions and workshops.

This year’s festival will be held under the theme “wild” and will screen more than 100 short features, short documentaries and short animations.

Aside from thematic programs, the festival is also ready to screen nearly 100 films from 50 countries under its traditional sections, namely, Exchange Experience, Cultural Insights, Ridicule, Umbrella and Purple Portrait.

The winner of the festival will be awarded the “Potluck Award”.

The films will be screened at the SALT Galata and SUPA Saloon.
