Georgia's Ambassador to Ankara visits Anadolu headquarters
'Türkiye is not only a friendly neighbor but also a strategic partner for Georgia,' says George Janjgava

ANKARA
Georgia's Ambassador to Türkiye George Janjgava on Tuesday visited Anadolu headquarters in the capital, Ankara.
Ambassador Janjgava was hosted by Anadolu's President and CEO, Serdar Karagoz, as well as Deputy Director General and Editor-in-Chief Yusuf Ozhan.
Karagoz provided information about Anadolu's global news structure and operations, stressing that they produce approximately 5,000 daily content.
He said Anadolu's core approach is to be the most referenced news agency in the international press, highlighting its commitment to this vision.
Anadolu is crucial for Georgia as news source
Janjgava stressed that Georgia's diplomatic relations with Türkiye date back to 1921.
He said that Türkiye is not only a "friendly" neighbor but also a strategic partner for Georgia.
Adding that Anadolu is "important" as a news source for his country, and any "significant" event is first shared with it.
During the earthquakes in Kahramanmaras on February 6, Georgia dispatched a team of 200 members to Türkiye, making it the second country to do so after Azerbaijan, he stressed.
Janjgava also mentioned that he personally visited the region three times.
He expressed his gratitude to Karagoz for the invitation and reiterated that Türkiye is a neighboring country that goes beyond "mere" neighborly relations.
During the meeting, Editor-in-Chief Ozhan delivered a presentation introducing Anadolu.
