Anadolu offers scholarships to graduate students to support research into agency
Türkiye’s global news agency set to provide scholarships to master's and doctoral students to support thesis studies focusing on Anadolu

ANKARA
Anadolu, Türkiye’s global news agency, is offering scholarships to master's and doctoral students to support thesis studies focusing on the agency, which was founded over a century ago.
Anadolu aims to contribute to the academic and professional development of master's and doctoral students, assist in their career planning, and provide opportunities to gain experience in their fields while enhancing the agency's presence in the academic world by offering research scholarships.
Towards this end, scholarships will be provided for thesis studies focusing on Anadolu, valid during the thesis phase, for two terms for master's programs and four terms for doctoral programs. This period may be extended by an additional two terms for doctoral students if deemed appropriate.
Applications for the research scholarship in master’s programs will only be accepted from within Türkiye, while doctoral program applications will be accepted both domestically and internationally.
Applicants must submit two academic reference letters, proof of enrollment in a master’s or doctoral program, a thesis topic proposal form, a letter of intent, and proof of English proficiency (minimum YDS score of 80 or TOEFL score of 90 within the last two years).
The scholarship provides monthly payments during the thesis phase, totaling 12,500 liras ($351) for master’s students and 25,000 liras ($702) for doctoral students.
Applications will be evaluated by Anadolu's Board of Directors, and approved theses may be published by Anadolu Publications.
Scholarship recipients will sign a contract detailing the terms.
The scholarship may be canceled if the doctoral program is extended beyond the allowed period, if the student takes academic leave, or if the thesis topic is unrelated to Anadolu.
In such cases, the paid amount, adjusted for inflation, will be reclaimed.
Applications are open until March 1 and must be submitted via kariyer.aa.com.tr.
Anadolu was founded in 1920, during the Turkish War of Independence, by Ataturk, later founder of the Republic of Türkiye.
Today, boasting personnel of over 3,000 people, Anadolu supplies global coverage, delivering news 24/7 to around 6,000 media outlets in 13 different languages in 100 countries.
