Anadolu Agency signs cooperation deal with News Agency of Nigeria

ISTANBUL 

Turkiye's global news outlet Anadolu Agency on Wednesday signed a cooperation deal with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

The agreement was inked by Anadolu Agency's Director General Serdar Karagoz and NAN Managing Director Buki Ponle in Istanbul.

As part of the deal between Anadolu Agency and the NAN, the two media outlets will share photos and videos, as well as news published in English.

The two agencies will also carry out joint projects in order to strengthen professional cooperation.

On the deal between two new agencies, Ponle told Anadolu Agency that the exchange of news under the deal would promote the visibility of the Turkiye-Nigeria relationship, as well as the two countries' growth and development.

"When people are better informed, they will act on such information to take informed decisions and ignorant society is a catastrophe," said Ponle.

With this agreement, Ponle said NAN package news about Nigeria to Turkiye and Anadolu Agency package news about Turkiye to Nigeria.
