AA starts utilizing "News Tracking System"

A news tracking system which determines unauthorized and illegal uses of Anadolu Agency (AA) news, developed by AA's research and development department, has been put into effect by the agency.

As well as illegal use of news ascertained by the system, it also provides necessary data for a possible judicial process. 

The tracking of photographs and videos is also being considered.

 AA Deputy Director General Cagatay Culcuoglu said several other foreign news agencies were following the news system with interest as well. 

Noting that many international news agencies and media institutes were impressed by the system, developed only by AA's efforts, Culcuoglu also said the agencies demanded to make use of AA's News Tracking System during his meetings with them in the US and Saudi Arabia last week.  

The deputy director general underscored that AA had made great progresses in information technology in the last two years, adding "That international agencies' request to make use of the technologies developed by AA is an indication of AA's proceeding towards a global dimension within the scope of its centennial vision."
