South Korean police are probing three Chinese students over alleged filming of a US aircraft carrier that recently visited the East Asian country, local media reported on Wednesday.

Busan police are investigating the Chinese students who allegedly took unauthorized photos of a US aircraft carrier, Korea JoongAng Daily reported.

The Chinese students, including a man in his 40s, were caught while flying a drone toward the Naval Operations Command (NOC) in Nam District, Busan, on June 25 and captured photos of the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) which was docked at the base, according to the report.

Police accused the students of violating the Enforcement Decree of the Protection of Military Bases and Installations Act.
