Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday summoned a meeting of the national Security Council to discuss the fight against terrorism, a Kremlin statement said.
Opening the meeting, Putin ordered enhanced measures and improved methods to prevent hostile acts.
"Essentially, we have one main question, and we need to approach it from different angles. It's about enhancing measures and improving methods to combat terrorism," he said.
The head of the Federal Security Service (FSB), Aleksandr Bortnikov, also briefed the meeting on the issue.
