TURKISH-U.S. COMMERCE CHAMBER HOLDS GALA NIGHT IN NYC

Speaking at the event, Turkey's Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) Ertugrul Apakan said that TACCI was a constructive business platform which created opportunities and complemented the economic activities carried out by the Turkish government.
Delivering a speech, Mehmet Samsar, Turkish Consul General in New York, said that economic relations between Turkey and USA fell behind the military and political ties between the two countries.
Samsar said that TACCI played a remarkable role in developing these commercial and economic relations.
Speaking to reporters, TACCI's President Sevil Ozisik said that the chamber's gala night displayed the Turkish-U.S. cooperation and New York's high level officials' participation in the event indicated the importance they attached to Turkish businesspeople.
Ozisik also said that some part of the revenue of the gala night would be sent to Haiti in order to be used by victims of the recent disaster in the country.
