Turkish state lottery gives 23 million dollars on New Year
The top prize gets divided into four as three of the winners hail from biggest three cities

A handful of Turkish citizens have entered the year of 2014 as a millionaire as the National Lottery Agency announced the winning numbers for the traditional New Year sweepstakes with an astronomic top prize of 50 million liras (~23 million US dollars).
The lucky number sequence was 2-1-7-4-4-5-1. The top prize was divided into four, and three of the winners are from Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir - Turkey's three largest cities.
The lottery also offered single prizes of TRY5, 3, 2 and 1 million, and five counts of TRY500,000.
The total amount distributed as prize money is estimated at a little over 286 million liras, provided that all available tickets have been sold.
