TURKISH POP ICON TAKES TO STAGE IN CARNEGIE HALL
NEW YORK - Turkish pop star diva Sezen Aksu appeared
in a New York concert on Monday at the Carnegie Hall.
Turkish pianist and composer Fahir Atakoglu accompanied Aksu in two-and-a-half-hour concert in a fully packed Isaac Stern Auditorium as the audience gave a standing ovation to the legendary Turkish pop icon.
Aksu's concert series in the United States are co-organized by English weekly "TurkofAmerica" and the GNL Entertainment, and it is sponsored by the Turkish Cultural Foundation.
Aksu is set to appear in another concert tonight in Newark, New Jersey, on the last stop of her U.S. tour.
