Aslamaci couple applied to Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Red Crescent to adopt a baby girl from Somalia where 29,000 children died in 90 days.
Gulumhan Sarici Aslamaci and her husband Serdar Aslamaci told A.A correspondent that they wanted a sister to their 2,5-year-old daughter Ayse.
Gulumhan Aslamaci said they wanted to adopt a baby girl after seeing the tragedy in Somalia.
"I have sent an e-mail to foreign ministry. The ministry said there were similar demands. As far as I know, around 300 families have applied to Istanbul Consulate of Somalia. I have also written to Turkish Red Crescent. I am waiting for a reply," Aslamaci said.
