Vakifbank Istanbul defeats Brazil’s Unilever Volei in straight sets

Turkey's Vakifbank Istanbul upset Brazil’s Unilever Volei 3-0 to claim title at FIVB Women’s Club World Championship in Swiss city Zurich on Sunday.
Vakifbank Istanbul booked their 52nd consecutive victory by defeating Unilever Volei in three sets (25-23, 27-25, 25-16).
On Saturday, Istanbul outclassed the Asian champions from Guangdong Evergrande in straight sets 28-26, 25-15, 25-20 while Brazil swept host Volero Zurich 3-0 (25-23, 25-20, 25-16) as well.
Zurich became the first Swiss city to host an FIVB volleyball event as it welcomed six of the world’s premier clubs from October 9 to 13, 2013.
