TURKEY TO TAKE ON BELGIUM IN EURO 2012 QUALIFIER
ISTANBUL - Turkey's national soccer team will play against their Belgian opponents in an away game in Group A qualifiers for the 2012 European Championship.

The game will be played at Brussel's Roi Baudouin Stadium and it will kick off at 21.45 hours Turkish local time.
In a press conference held on Thursday, Turkey Coach Guus Hiddink said that he did not want to refer to the game as a "key" game.
"Yet this is an important game with Belgium. We all know the importance of the game against Belgium," Hiddink said.
We do not want to wait to see our opponents lose points in games to be played in the fall in Group A, Hiddink said.
Belgium has a young squad. Their performance is well and their games are impressive, Hiddink also said.
Meanwhile, Emir Kir, a Belgian State Minister in the regional government of Brussels of Turkish origin, said that the Belgian squad was in a better shape than their Turkish opponents.
"Belgium Coach George Leekens has done a marvellous job. I think that the Belgian side has the advantage tonight. I hope that Belgium wins," Kir stressed.
Italian referee Nicola Rizzoli will be the man with the whistle with assistant referees Renato Faverani and Andrea Stefani.
The 26-man Turkish squad includes Volkan Demirel, Gokhan Gonul, Mehmet Topuz, Emre Belozoglu, Selcuk Sahin, Semih Senturk (Fenerbahce), Tolga Zengin, Egemen Korkmaz, Selcuk Inan, Burak Yilmaz, Engin Baytar, Umut Bulut (Trabzonspor), Sabri Sarioglu, Gokhan Zan, Servet Cetin, Caglar Birinci, Arda Turan, Kazim Kazim (Galatasaray), Emre Gungor, Cenk Tosun (Gaziantepspor), Ismail Koybasi (Besiktas), Sinan Bolat (Standard Liege), Serdar Kesimal (Kayserispor), Gokhan Tore (Chelsea), Mehmet Topal (Valencia), Mehmet Ekici (Nurnberg).
Turkey are at the third spot with 9 points with five games behind group leaders Germany and Belgium.
