TURKEY TO ATTEND FRANKFURT BOOK FAIR

Turkey, which was the fair's guest of honor in 2008, will attend this year's event with 20 activities, according to a statement by Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry.
A total of 40 Turkish publishers - 34 national publishers and 6 children's books publishers - will introduce their publishings.
Numerous Turkish writers will also participate in panel discussions and symposiums on the sidelines of the fair.
The Frankfurt Book Fair is one of the most important marketplaces for books, media, rights and licences worldwide. More than 7,300 exhibitors from 100 countries, 299,000 visitors and over 10,000 journalists attend the fair every year.
