SABANCI RETAIL GROUP INVESTS 180 ML TL IN ITS THREE COMPANIES

SABANCI RETAIL GROUP INVESTS 180 ML TL IN ITS THREE COMPANIES

Sabanci Holding Retail Group's Chairman Haluk Dincer told reporters on Tuesday that the group invested 180 million TL in its three companies, and total turnover of those three companies reached 4.2 billion TL in 2009.  
Dincer pointed out the current structural transformation of retail sector, and said that this transformation was a pre-condition to increase development of economy as well as prosperity.
Noting that retail was one of the main business branches of Sabanci Holding, Dincer said that they engaged more than 200 new sale stores in 2009, and reached 1,1000 stores, while employing 14,000 people.
Teknosa, Carrefoursa and Diasa are among the several retail companies of Sabanci Holding.
Sabanci Holding is the parent company of the Sabanci Group, Turkey's leading industrial and financial conglomerate.
The Sabanci Group is composed of 69 companies. Sabanci Holding's main business units include financial services, automotive, tire and tire reinforcement materials, retail, cement and energy. Listed on the Istanbul Stock Exchange (IMKB), Sabanci Holding has controlling interests in 11 companies also listed on the IMKB.
