GREEK SINGER DALARAS TO GIVE HIS FIRST CONCERT IN ISTANBUL
ISTANBUL - Greek folk singer George Dalaras will give a concert in Istanbul for the first time on June 26, a Turkish culture organization said on Wednesday.

The Istanbul Culture & Arts Foundation said that Dalaras was an internationally known Greek singer and that he would meet his fans at Istanbul's Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theater.
Dalaras will be in Istanbul as part of his "Encore Tour" which he will embark in May on the occasion of 25th anniversary of his first European tour.
He will tour several European cities and then arrive in Turkey, the organization said.
The honorary guest of Dalaras concert will be the Turkish musician and writer Zulfu Livaneli.
Dalaras comes from a tradition of folk and blues music. He has recorded and appeared on stage with many notable musicians such as Sting, Paco de Lucia, Al di Meola, Goran Bregovic, Ian Anderson, Joan Faulkner, Jocelyn B. Smith, Emma Chapplin.
