GREEK DIRECTOR TO ATTEND WORKSHOP IN TURKEY'S AEGEAN CITY
IZMIR - A Greek director will attend a workshop in a Turkish Aegean city.

Greek filmmaker, screenwriter and film producer Theo Angelopoulos will participate in a workshop at the Dokuz Eylul University's Fine Arts Faculty in the Aegean city of Izmir between November 5 and 11.
Angelopoulos will be the guest of the workshop on November 9.
He will also receive an honorary doctorate from Dokuz Eylul University for his objective, pacifist and humanist approach to regional history.
Born in Athens in 1935, Theo Angelopoulos studied law and attended courses at (the French school of cinema) "L'IDHEC". Then he worked as a journalist and film critic.
Angelopoulos began making films after the 1967 coup. Some of his films are "Days of 36", "The Hunters" and "The Dust of Time."
