FLOODS KILL TWO IN NORTHEASTERN TURKEY
BORCKA - Floods killed two people in the northwestern province of Artvin on Thursday.

Floods, triggered by torrential rains, killed an 80-year-old and a 35-year-old women in Artvin's Borcka town.
80-year-old Nafiye Simsek died when her house was flooded in Borcka's Demirciler village, and villagers found her body.
Also, 35-year-old Gulsum Demirci died when she was trapped under debris of a house due to torrential rains and landslide.
Rescue teams are trying to reach three people who were trapped under debris of their house due to a landslide, caused by torrential rains, in Borcka's Kale village.
Thirty-one people were killed when floods, triggered by torrential rains, swamped a number of houses and business places in Istanbul and the neighboring province of Tekirdag on September 8 and 9.
