ISTANBUL - Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu met with his Bahrainian counterpart Khalid bin Ahmad Al Khalifa in Istanbul on Tuesday.

DAVUTOGLU MEETS BAHRAINIAN COUNTERPART

Davutoglu's meeting with Al Khalifa took place within the framework of the first meeting of foreign ministers of Turkey-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) High Level Strategic Dialogue, and was closed to the press corps.
Foreign ministers of Oman, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, as well as GCC Secretary-General Abdul Rahman bin Hamad al Attiyah are participating in the meeting in Istanbul.
The dialogue, which was established in September 2008, aims to constitute a political consultation mechanism between Turkey and the GCC.
