WASHINGTON
The US State Department approved the possible sale of Joint Light Tactical Vehicles and related equipment to Canada, the Pentagon said Friday.
The estimated cost is $160 million, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said in a statement.
"The proposed sale will improve Canada’s ability to meet current and future threats and enhance its ability to operate in more complex and rapidly changing environments," it said.
The principal contractors will be AM General, LLC, in Auburn Hills, Michigan and Mishawaka, Indiana.
