US' presidential, VIP fleet to be repainted at Trump’s direction
Aircraft to adopt dark navy, deep red and gold color scheme
ISTANBUL
The US Air Force’s presidential and VIP fleet will be repainted in a color palette preferred by President Donald Trump, CBS News reported.
The changes affect the exterior design of aircraft used to transport the president and other senior officials.
Under the plan, the light blue and white color scheme used since the administration of President John F. Kennedy will be replaced with dark navy, deep red and gold tones aligned with Trump’s preferences.
Officials said aircraft currently in blue and white are being repainted during routine maintenance and repair periods.
The updated design will apply not only to the presidential aircraft, commonly known as Air Force One when the president is aboard, but also to smaller C-32 planes used to transport high-ranking officials, including senior Cabinet members.
