The Global Journalism Council brought together numerous Turkish and American journalists in New York for its International Media Friendship Awards ceremony, honoring reporters, including Anadolu correspondents.
The Saturday ceremony took place at Turkish House in New York, hosted by the Turkish Consulate General.
Speaking at the event, Türkiye's New York Consul General Muhittin Ahmet Yazal emphasized the media's power and contribution to public diplomacy.
"Many of our journalists are at the awards ceremony, all putting in incredible effort. Some cover the Turkish American community, some follow developments in the US, and some cover the United Nations. I thank all of them without any distinction," Yazal said.
