Trump sent Epstein salacious 50th birthday letter: Report
Lurid nature of Trump's purported letter is akin to several others in the collection that was reviewed by The Wall Street Journal

WASHINGTON
A racy letter from Donald Trump is one of dozens of notes included in an album that was created to celebrate the 50th birthday of disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, according to a report published Thursday.
The leather-bound memento was compiled by Epstein's long-time aide and convicted child sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell in 2003, according to The Wall Street Journal newspaper. It also included letters from former Victoria's Secret CEO Leslie Wexner and pro-Israel attorney Alan Dershowitz.
The lurid nature of Trump's purported letter is akin to several others in the collection that was reviewed by the Journal. It consists of typewritten text framed by the outline of a naked woman that appears hand-drawn with the name "Donald" written below her waist, "mimicking pubic hair," the newspaper reported.
The text includes a conversation in the form of an apparent movie or TV script between Epstein and Trump.
"Voice Over: There must be more to life than having everything,” it begins.
"Donald: Yes, there is, but I won’t tell you what it is.
Jeffrey: Nor will I, since I also know what it is.
Donald: We have certain things in common, Jeffrey.
Jeffrey: Yes, we do, come to think of it.
Donald: Enigmas never age, have you noticed that?
Jeffrey: As a matter of fact, it was clear to me the last time I saw you.
Donald: A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret."
It is unclear what the mystery is that the note references, but the Journal reported that Trump and Epstein were friends from the 1990s through the early 2000s and were photographed at social events, including with Melania Trump and Maxwell, who was Epstein's girlfriend for a time. Trump, as well as former President Bill Clinton, was included in flight logs for Epstein's private jet, according to the Journal.
“I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy,” Trump is quoted as saying in a 2002 New York Magazine profile of Epstein. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it—Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”
The bombshell report comes as Trump finds himself in a whirlwind moment with the Epstein files, or the collection of government documents that Trump's Justice Department has so far refused to make public, drives the largest wedge to date within the president's MAGA movement.
The Justice Department announced last week that it determined Epstein died by suicide in 2019 and claimed he had no "client list," sparking discontent among MAGA supporters.
Trump has called the Epstein scandal a "hoax" and demanded his supporters move on, even as they continue to clamor for the release of the documents, including the "client list" that Attorney General Pam Bondi said in February was "sitting on my desk right now."
Speculation has mounted that it includes the names of prominent members of the rich and powerful. Elon Musk, the tech billionaire and former Trump ally, has suggested that the president's name is likely included in the "Epstein files."
Trump lashed out at the Journal's report but also said that he asked Bondi "to produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval." The announcement does not appear to include the release of any government evidence collected during its investigations into Epstein.
"The Wall Street Journal, and Rupert Murdoch, personally, were warned directly by President Donald J. Trump that the supposed letter they printed by President Trump to Epstein was a FAKE and, if they print it, they will be sued. Mr. Murdoch stated that he would take care of it but, obviously, did not have the power to do so," Trump said on social media.
"The Press has to learn to be truthful, and not rely on sources that probably don't even exist. President Trump has already beaten George Stephanopoulos/ABC, 60 Minutes/CBS, and others, and looks forward to suing and holding accountable the once great Wall Street Journal. It has truly turned out to be a 'Disgusting and Filthy Rag,'" he added.
