Trump says he will go to Saudi Arabia
Saudis will be ‘spending a lot of money on American companies for buying military equipment and other things,’ president says

WASHINGTON
US President Donald Trump said Thursday that he will visit Saudi Arabia "probably" over the next month and a half.
"I'm going to Saudi Arabia...Normally you’d go to the UK first, and last time I went to Saudi Arabia," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.
"I said, I'll go if you pay $1 trillion to American companies, spreading the purchase over a four-year period of a trillion dollars, and they've agreed to do that, so I'm going to be going there," he added.
Trump said he has a "great" relationship with Saudi Arabia
"They've been very nice, but they're going to be spending a lot of money on American companies for buying military equipment and other things,” he added.
- 'Ukraine wants to make a deal'
Trump's special Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff told reporters Thursday that Saudi Arabia will host a US-Ukraine meeting next week to discuss the Russia-Ukraine war.
Trump said Ukraine wants to make a deal.
"Ukraine wants to make a deal, because I don't think they have a choice. I also think that Russia wants to make a deal because in a certain different way, a different way that only I know -- only I know -- they have no choice either," he added.
Asked whether he is going to revoke temporary legal status for more than 200,000 Ukrainians in the US, he said he'll be making a decision "pretty soon."
"We're not looking to hurt anybody, and we're certainly not looking to hurt them, and I'm looking at that," he added.
