Trump says athletes to face 'strong testing' at 2028 LA Olympics to prevent transgender competitors
US 'will not let men steal trophies from women at the 2028 Olympics,’ president says

WASHINGTON
US President Donald Trump said Tuesday that athletes hoping to compete in the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles will face strict testing to prevent transgender athletes from participating.
“There will be a very, very strong form of testing, and if the test doesn’t come out appropriately, they won’t be in the Olympics,” Trump said during a press conference focused on the Olympics.
“The United States will not let men steal trophies from women at the 2028 Olympics,” he added.
In February, Trump signed an executive order barring transgender student athletes from participating in women’s sports. Following the order, the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee revised its policies to block transgender women from competing.
