A heavy police presence has been reported Wednesday outside CIA headquarters in the US state of Virginia following reports of a gunman firing shots, according to media reports.
ABC News reported that an individual was making threats at the headquarters gate, prompting a significant police response.
The Fairfax County Police Department’s SWAT team is assisting CIA police.
Authorities issued a traffic alert, announcing the closure of Dolley Madison Boulevard in both directions between Georgetown Pike and Savile Lane in McLean due to a barricade incident.
