ISTANBUL

American business magnate Elon Musk was expected to visit Epstein's private island in December 2014, according to a copy of Jeffrey Epstein's daily schedules released by Democrats on Friday.

One calendar entry states, "Reminder: Elon Musk to island Dec. 6 (is this still happening?)."

The document contains no information about how the entry was obtained, what level of planning was involved, or whether the anticipated visit took place.

Musk, on the other hand, issued a broad denial later Friday, responding on the US social media company X to another account's post on the subject.

"This is false," he wrote, without elaborating.

The Epstein schedules, which were made public on Friday as part of Democrats' push for broader file release, also include entries for other powerful figures.

One entry mentions a planned lunch with tech billionaire Peter Thiel in November 2017.

Another mentions a breakfast in February 2019 with right-wing podcaster and former Trump White House aide Steve Bannon.

It is unclear whether any of those meetings took place.

Musk and his representatives, as well as those for Thiel and Bannon, did not immediately respond.

None of them has been accused of any wrongdoing in connection with Epstein.
