ICESCO provides $200,000 in financial support to 500 Palestinian students in Egypt

RABAT, Morocco 

The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) has provided $200,000 worth of financial support to 500 Palestinian students at Egyptian universities.

The organization, based in Morocco, said the support was provided within the framework of a program to assist Palestinian students studying at Egyptian colleges.

The distribution of financial support to the first group of beneficiaries began on March 26 at the Palestinian Embassy in Cairo, according to the statement.

It said the total financial support of $200,000 is being distributed in two installments for the benefit of 500 male and female students.

The organization's statement noted that this initiative was taken within the context of commemorating the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, observed annually on Nov. 29.
