SALY, Senegal

Turkish highest football division Spor Toto Super League winners Fenerbahce's Senegalese forward Moussa Sow said on Friday that he is very happy to live in Turkey.

The Senegalese player said that he has spent 3 years at Fenerbahce, and helped win many domestic titles, such as the Turkish Spor Toto Super league title in 2014, back-to-back Turkish Cups in 2012 and 2013 and one Turkish Super Cup trophy at the start of this season.

"Time goes very fast. I will soon complete my third year at Fenerbahce. I'm very proud of it. I won many titles. But my enjoyment of life in Turkey is more important", Sow said.

The 28-year-old forward said that he is enjoying Turkey's rich culture as well as working with the Fenerbahce club.

"The diversity of civilisation and culture in Turkey was decisive for me. I thought that I would worship in Turkey more freely as a Muslim than I did in France, and, thank God, I was not mistaken," he said.

Sow also likes the food in Turkey.  "In Turkey there are so many different and delicious meals," he said.

Having scored 39 goals in 79 Turkish Super League appearances, the Senegalese star of the team also said that he should work more to please the fans.

Sow -- whose contract at "Yellow Canaries" expires in June of 2016 -- said that he wanted to continue at Fenerbahce. "I would like to continue my career at Fenerbahce. Only God knows the future" he said.

The France-born Senegalese ace helped the French national team win the European Under-19 Championship title in 2005.

Purchased from French Ligue 1 club Lille for a €10 million ($12.4 million)  transfer fee in January of 2012, Sow was the top scorer of 2010-11 football season in France, putting the ball in the back of the net 25 times.

Once regarded as one of the key players at Lille, Moussa Sow also helped his ex-club Lille win the crown in both the French domestic league championships and in the "Coupe de France" in the 2010-11 football season.
