DAR ES SALAAM, Tanzania
Turkey's Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu inaugurated the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency's (TIKA) orphanage in Tanzania on Saturday.
The Mwana Orphanage, which is in Tanzania's largest Dar es Salaam province, will host more than 150 orphans.
Davutoglu participated in the inauguration ceremony with his wife, Sare Davutoglu, and sang Turkish songs with Tanzanian orphans before he was received by Ali Mohamed Shein, the President of semi-autonomous islands of Tanzania.
The meeting, joined by Deputy President of Zanzibar Sherif Hammad, was about Turkey's bilateral relations with Tanzania and Zanzibar.
