ISTANBUL
United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to Turkey Carol Batchelor has said that Turkey acted generously for Syrian refugees staying in Turkey.
Calling on the international community to donate for Syrians, Batchelor said that their needs were increasing day by day.
"Turkey, Red Crescent, AFAD (Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency) and Foreign Ministry have been hosting Syrians," she said.
The international community should also take responsibility on the matter and it should work to meet needs of Syrians, she said.
Batchelor said Turkey did a very important thing for Syrians and it deserved to be praised.
