DAMASCUS
Nearly a hundred Syrians were killed on Wednesday in artillery strikes carried out by regime forces, the Syria Network for Human Rights (SNHR) said.
The daily death toll provided by the SNHR has not fallen below 50 since September 1, with 27 out of 98 deaths occurring in the northwestern city of Idlib.
The activist network said forces loyal to Syria's embattled leader Bashar al-Assad killed 24 people in the suburbs of capital Damascus, while 18 were killed in Aleppo, 13 in Daraa, and several others in various areas.
Meanwhile, Syria's state news agency SANA said security forces neutralized many armed militants across the country.
