A total of 80 people were killed in several cities of Syria on Sunday in operations staged by forces loyal to the Syrian regime, activists said.
Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR), a London-based group that tracks civilian and dissident casualties, said that Assad forces killed 17 people in the suburbs of capital Damascus, 15 each in Aleppo and Homs, 14 in Dera'a, 10 in Hama, 6 in Idlib, one each in Deir al-Zor,Quneitra,and Hasakah in air and land offensives.
Meanwhile,Syrian Revolution General Commission (SRGC) said fierce clashes take place between the Assad regime and the the Free Syrian Army in Aleppo's Han Asel district. SRGC also added that Asad forces held artillery attacks on Minnigh and Kuveyris military airports in Aleppo.
Moreover, SRGC said, the Assad Forces were using heavy weapons in the Halidiya region of Homs city.
Furthermore, SANA, Syrian national news agency, announced that regime forces made major gains against opposition fighters in operations across the country.
