KABUL
At least 10 people were killed Friday in a suicide bombing in Afghanistan's Qandahar province, governor's spokesperson said.
A suicide car targeted a police convoy passing by a restaurant in Aino Maina, a housing complex on the outskirts of the city developed by President Hamid Karzai's brother.
Among the dead were three police officers and the rest were civilians, Qandahar government spokesperson Jawed Faisal said, adding that more than 70 people were wounded, some of them badly.
"The main target was security forces but most of the casualties were civilians who were dining in a nearby restaurant," Faisal said.
