The second round of France’s municipal elections are taking place.
The voting ends at 18.00 in small towns while it will end at 20.00 in larger cities with French media expected to broadcast the unofficial results after 20.00.
In the first round of the French municipal elections, March 23, France's far-right party, the National Front led by Marine Le Pen, won 7 percent of the vote for the first time in its history finishing top in some cities taking key positions for the second round.
There are around 44.6 million registered voters in France but only 16 million voters went to the polls for the first round of the elections.
